Neighbourhood Plan launch consultation starts this November

This November marks the start of the launch consultation on the new Neighbourhood Plan, when we want to hear from as many residents as possible.

Why does this matter?

Once adopted, a Neighbourhood Plan carries real legal weight in decisions on planning applications here. It's our chance to agree a shared vision and a set of aims for how our villages, countryside and riverside should be shaped as things change around us — reflecting what we value and want to see here in the years ahead, rather than leaving those decisions to be made without local input.

Take our SHORT survey.

Take our short survey — it only takes a few minutes, covers the possible scope of the Plan, and even asks you to imagine Bray Parish in 2040 and describe it in three words. Please add your comments by Friday 15th January 2027.

Come and talk to us in person

The Steering Group is holding drop-in sessions, open to everyone, no booking needed:

  • Thursday 19 November, 1–4pm, Holyport War Memorial Hall
  • Wednesday 25 November, 4–7pm, Braywood Memorial Hall
  • Thursday 26 November, 5 - 8pm - Bray Village Hall

Drop by for as long or as little as suits you — come along, ask questions, and tell us what matters to you about the villages, hamlets, countryside, recreational areas and facilities of our parish. We're also going to be popping-up to chat to people on Saturdays around the area.

Drop-in Workshop session

We're also running a more detailed drop-in session on Thursday 19 November, 6–8pm at Holyport War Memorial Hall, for anyone interested in finding out more about the Plan and discussing the approach to preparing it in greater depth. This is open to anyone, but you need to register by emailing hello@brayneighbourhoodplan.com by Monday 16th November.

Whether you've got two minutes or two hours to spare, we want to hear from you.

This is just the start — there'll be more ways to get involved as the Plan develops, including further public consultation stages before the Plan is finalised and put to a parish-wide referendum.
